Root Canal Treatment

Root Canal treatment is a dental procedure used to treat infection at the root of the tooth and is often the last resort instead of an extraction.

When treated under the best isolation techniques (isolating just that tooth from the rest of the mouth), infection inside the tooth is removed and cleaned and replaced with a root filling and completed with a crown to prevent fracture of a weakened tooth.

The procedure is usually undertaken over 1-2 visits and relieves the pain of infection instantly. The cost of root canal treatment is usually between £450-650 depending on the complexity and saves a tooth for between 10-12 years.
